Murf AI Review 2026: Pricing, Plans and Who It Fits

Our Murf AI review for 2026, in short: Murf is an AI voiceover studio with 200+ voices and 30+ languages and accents listed on its plan table. It has a free plan (10 minutes of voice generation, no downloads), Creator at $19 a month billed yearly ($29 monthly) and Business at $66 a month billed yearly ($99 monthly), each with one editor seat and a cap on voice-generation hours. It suits solo narrators and marketers better than teams, since extra seats need a custom Enterprise plan.

Methodology: This is a documentation-based review (researched, not hands-on). Every price and feature below comes from Murf's own pricing page, captured on October 13, 2026: murf.ai/pricing. Ratings come from the G2, Capterra and Trustpilot pages for Murf, read on the same date. We have not run our own tests of this product. We have not run our own accuracy or quality tests and do not present synthetic scores; results claims are the vendor's own and are labeled as such. Last checked: October 13, 2026. What Murf does

Murf describes itself as an AI voice generator and voiceover studio. The core product, which the pricing page calls Studio, is a browser editor where you paste or write a script, pick a voice, adjust delivery and export audio. Based on the pricing page, its product navigation and its footer, the product breaks down like this:

The site also says it is trusted by more than 300 of the Fortune 2000. That is Murf's own claim and one we have not verified. What matters for a buyer is that Murf is organized around hours of generated voice per year, with a single editor seat on both self-serve paid plans. Because we have not tested the voices, this page describes the plans rather than ranking voice quality.

Source: murf.ai/pricing (Studio tab, both billing positions of the toggle), captured October 13, 2026. Prices checked October 13, 2026. Prices in USD. Quoted wording is from the page.

How the billing toggle reads: the page defaults to "Billed Yearly" and shows a "Saved 33%" label. Moving the toggle to "Billed Monthly" changes Creator from $19 to $29 and Business from $66 to $99. The yearly price is shown per month, with the annual total ($228 and $792) underneath. The 33% label is roughly right for both plans: $66 against $99 is a 33% gap and $19 against $29 is about 34.5%.

Limits worth noticing: both paid plans include exactly one editor seat. The comparison table lists "Custom (5+)" editor seats and sharing, collaboration and access controls only on Enterprise, so a team of two or three has no listed self-serve option. The same table shows "Full Broadcasting Rights" as an Enterprise add-on, and not on Creator or Business, even though both list commercial rights.

What we could not confirm: whether the free plan's 10 minutes renews; whether voice cloning is available on any self-serve plan (the site lists it as a product and as an Enterprise add-on, but the Creator and Business columns do not mention it); the price of extra voice hours; and the refund or cancellation terms, which the pricing page does not state. The Capterra listing shows a $9 one-time starting price that does not match anything on the vendor page, so we ignored it.

If self-serve voice cloning is the deciding feature, ElevenLabs does list it on its public plans; see our ElevenLabs voice cloning plans by tier before you choose.

G2 and Trustpilot agree closely (4.7 and 4.6) on reasonably large counts, 1,411 and 186. The Capterra score rests on only 4 reviews, so we put little weight on it. We have not analyzed the review text. Trustpilot's own auto-generated summary of 42 recent reviews describes an overwhelmingly positive experience and cites ease of use, but that is Trustpilot's summary, not our finding. Reviews can mix older and newer versions of the product, so sort by most recent before you decide.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A real free tier: $0, no card, 10 minutes of voice generation to try the editor.
  • Both prices are on the page, with the billing toggle showing a clear gap between yearly and monthly.
  • Large voice and language list on the plan table: 200+ voices and 30+ languages and accents.
  • Commercial rights are listed on Creator and Business, so a paid plan can cover client and marketing work.
  • Integrations for Canva, PowerPoint and Google Slides, plus a separate usage-priced API.
  • G2 shows 4.7 out of 5 from 1,411 reviews and Trustpilot 4.6 out of 5 from 186.

Cons

  • Only one editor seat on Creator and Business; extra seats mean a custom Enterprise contract.
  • Voice generation is capped in hours, and the page does not say what happens when the cap is reached.
  • The best delivery controls (emphasis, variability, Say It My Way) start at Business, $66 a month billed yearly.
  • The free plan cannot download audio and has no commercial rights, so it works as a demo only.
  • Voice-cloning availability on self-serve plans is not shown on the pricing page.
  • Full broadcasting rights are an Enterprise add-on, which matters if you produce for TV or radio.
  • Capterra has only 4 reviews, so independent scores outside G2 and Trustpilot are thin.

Who should buy it, and who shouldn't

Good fit: a solo creator, freelancer, trainer or marketer who needs voiceovers for explainers, e-learning, presentations or ads, works alone in the editor, and is comfortable with a monthly cap of about two hours (Creator) or eight hours (Business). Slide-based work is a natural match because of the Canva, PowerPoint and Google Slides integrations.

Skip it if: several people need to edit the same projects, because the self-serve plans have one seat; you need a published price for voice cloning; you want to produce large audiobook-length volumes (24 hours a year is limited for that); you need broadcast rights without a sales conversation; or you have not yet heard the voices in your language, since we have not tested them and quality is the main thing you are paying for.

Questions to answer before paying: how many hours of finished audio you will generate in a year (compare with 24 on Creator or 96 on Business); whether the voice you need exists in your language, which the free plan lets you check; whether you need emphasis and variability controls, which start at Business; and whether anyone else will edit your projects, in which case ask Murf about Enterprise seats.

Alternatives

Murf competes mainly with other AI voice tools. We already cover that category in our ElevenLabs review and our best AI voice generators roundup. If your voiceover goes into video, our Descript review covers an editor that edits video by editing text and includes its own AI speech, and our Pictory review covers a text-to-video tool that bundles voices in its plans. For the script itself, see our Jasper AI review for marketing content with brand controls, our Copy.ai review for sales and go-to-market workflows, or our Writesonic review. To check the wording before you voice it, see our Grammarly review. For a presenter on screen as well as a voice, see our Synthesia review.

Verdict

Murf in 2026 is a voiceover studio with a clear price ladder: a free demo tier, $19 a month billed yearly for 24 hours of voice a year, $66 a month for 96 hours and more delivery controls, and a custom Enterprise plan for teams. Review-site scores are strong where the counts are large (4.7 on G2 from 1,411 reviews, 4.6 on Trustpilot). The weak points are structural: one seat on every self-serve plan, hour caps with no stated overage terms, and no listed self-serve voice cloning. If you are a solo creator who needs voiceovers and can live inside the caps, use the free plan to listen to your language first, then pick Creator unless you need the Business controls. If you work with a team, ask for Enterprise terms before you commit.
