Frase Review 2026: Pricing, Plans and Who It Fits
Our Frase review for 2026, in short: Frase is an SEO content tool that researches what ranks, drafts and optimizes articles, audits your existing pages and tracks AI-search visibility. It can also publish straight to your CMS. Plans start at $39/month billed yearly ($49 month to month) for 10 articles and one site, with a 7-day free trial and no card. It's the cheapest entry in its group for solo writers and small teams, but limits are tight on Starter.

What Frase does
Frase describes its product as a monthly "loop", per its pricing page:
- Research and draft: it studies what ranks for a topic, then drafts and optimizes a full article "in your voice".
- Publish: pushes to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity or Wix, or to its own FraseCMS (free up to 100,000 page views a month). An agent can auto-publish if you switch that on.
- Audit: scores existing pages for SEO, GEO and AI visibility.
- Content Guard: watches pages for Google rank decay, writes a fix and republishes it after you approve (approval is the default).
- AI Visibility: daily tracking of whether ChatGPT, Google AI and, on higher plans, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini cite you. It alerts but doesn't change content.
Frase itself says rankings and AI citations "build over the weeks after you publish" and that it won't promise results in a trial. We haven't tested output quality.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Low entry price ($39/month yearly) and a 7-day trial with no card.
- Monthly billing published alongside yearly.
- Starter can't run up overage charges.
- Direct publishing to common CMSs, plus free hosting option.
Cons
- Starter covers only 10 articles, 1 site and 1 seat, with no content calendar or internal linking.
- Perplexity, Claude and Gemini tracking need higher plans.
- Auto-publishing AI content without review is possible; that's a quality risk if you turn it on.
- Output quality is unverified by us; the 4.8/5 G2 rating on its page is Frase's own citation.
Who should buy it, and who shouldn't
Good fit: solo bloggers and freelancers who want research, drafting and optimization in one place on a small budget; small teams running a few sites.
Skip it if: you need more than 10 articles a month but won't pay for Professional; you want white-label client reports (Enterprise only); or you only need grammar and drafting help, which cheaper chatbot plans cover.

Verdict
Frase has the friendliest entry pricing in this group, with monthly billing, a no-card trial and a Starter plan that can't surprise you with overages. Starter is tight, though, and most of the team features start at Professional. Use the trial to see whether its drafts need heavy editing for your niche before you commit.
