How we test, source, and disclose. Last updated April 2026.
Advertisers and affiliate partners do not see coverage before publication, cannot request changes, and cannot pay for better rankings. Our category winners reflect our test results, not commission rates. When we recommend a product that happens to have a better affiliate commission than its competitor, the coincidence isn't the reason — and we'll say so explicitly if there's any ambiguity.
For every tool review we publish:
Pricing, feature, and limit claims are sourced from the vendor's official pricing page as of the article's last-updated date. Benchmark claims are sourced from the benchmark's original paper or the vendor's published results, cited inline. We do not reproduce vendor marketing copy as our editorial.
When an article contains affiliate links, we show: "We earn a commission when you sign up through our links. This doesn't change your price and doesn't affect our rankings." This appears at the top of the article. Full policy: Affiliate Disclaimer.
AI tools change pricing and features frequently. We revisit our reviews at least quarterly and update them whenever a vendor materially changes the product. The "Last updated" date at the top of each article is the most recent review date.
When we get something wrong, we fix it in-place and add a corrections note at the bottom. Load-bearing errors get an update at the top. Email corrections@smartaitoolsreview.com.
We use AI tools — including ones we review — in our own workflow. Every article is reviewed by a human editor responsible for accuracy and final sign-off. Screenshots or outputs in a review that were generated by the reviewed tool are labeled as such. We do not fabricate benchmarks, quotes, or statistics.
