The Reviews Desk is responsible for our individual tool reviews and category round-ups. The desk synthesizes vendor documentation, primary sources, and independent third-party benchmarks for each tool we cover.
Focus areas: AI writing tools, image generators, coding assistants, chatbots, AI agents.
Role: Editorial oversight & review
Reviews every published article for accuracy, source attribution, and affiliate-disclosure compliance. Has final authority on our picks and category winners.

We do not run an in-house test lab. For every tool we cover: (1) we synthesize the vendor's official documentation and pricing pages; (2) we gather independent third-party benchmarks and named outlets' hands-on reviews, attributing each source; (3) we compare tools head-to-head on documented capabilities, limits, and pricing — framing every pick around what you'd pay versus what you'd get; (4) editor review and publish. We never invent numbers or present others' testing as our own.
We use AI tools (including ones we review) in our own workflow — that would be strange not to, given what we cover. Every article is reviewed by a human editor responsible for accuracy, source attribution, and final sign-off. We disclose when screenshots, outputs, or examples in a review were generated by the tool under review.
